AboutOfficial Site: http://www.yamaha.co.jp/event/academy/english/artist/img/i01.jpgMr.Kudo was born in Sapporo,Japan.After studying under J.P.Rampal at the Paris Conservatory,he graduated with the first prize honor in 1979.He won the first prize both at the 2nd Paris International Flute Contest in 1978 and at the 1st Rampal International Flute Contest in 1980.Since then he has played in over 180 cities in 40 countries including Europe and America,and has performed with the main orchestras of many of these countries.He has been on the panel of judges for the Rampal International Contest since 1983.He is a professor at the Paris Ecole Normal.He is principal flute of the Saito-Kinen orchestra from 1987, and Mito chamber orchestra.He now lives in Paris. |
